Innovation Flowing: WOG Opens New RD&TC in Gurugram

WOG Technologies has inaugurated a 7,000 sq ft Research, Development & Technology Centre (RD&TC) in Gurugram aimed at developing and commercialising advanced technologies in water treatment, wastewater management and renewable energy for industrial and municipal applications.

Located in Udyog Vihar, the facility includes specialised wet, bio, dry and chromatography laboratories, along with a modular pilot effluent treatment plant. The company said the centre has been designed to shorten the transition time between laboratory innovation and industrial-scale implementation, while also making sustainable technologies more accessible and cost-effective for small and medium enterprises.

During the inauguration event, titled “WOG Innovate 2026,” the company introduced several proprietary technologies. These include a patented high-efficiency UASB reactor capable of converting industrial wastewater into biogas, an advanced halogen and iron removal system for recovering hydrochloric acid from industrial waste streams, and a self-cleaning evaporator designed for the treatment of high-TDS wastewater.

The RD&TC is also developing AI-enabled water quality prediction systems that use machine learning models and real-time sensor data to improve monitoring and treatment efficiency.
